Please review the following job description:

As a member of the Market & Liquidity Risk Management (MRLM) team within the Risk Management Organization (RMO), provide senior managers with independent quantitative and qualitative assessments of risk management practices and risk levels. Have the ability to provide active participation in various governance meetings for the Capital Markets Risk Management teams spanning Trading Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Profit and Loss (P&L) attribution and Independent Price Verification (IPV). This specialized job family framework includes promoting Truist's compliance with Board-stated risk appetite and regulatory standards across the securities or derivatives portfolios within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Corporate Treasury and Mortgage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Support the company's strategic direction for Trading Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and Product Control (including Independent Price Verification (IPV) and Profit and Loss (P&L) attribution) and ensure long-term objectives are in line with industry best practices, regulatory mandates and the established risk appetite.

2. Supports the development of the department's effectiveness as an independent risk management function and ensures that the respective lines of business and functional areas align with the team's oversight framework.

3. Support Product Control's P&L generation and attribution analysis and IPV for trading book activities which incorporate ongoing quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.

4. Maintain robust P&L and IPV reporting functions which provides transparency to management within Market & Liquidity risk as well as the Front Office traders and Controller teammates.

5. Partner with ongoing compliance efforts for regulatory requirements/guidance.

6. Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory rules (Market Risk Rule, FRTB, Volcker Rule, Swap Dealer Rule Initial Margin, SCCL, etc.) and guidelines pertaining to market, liquidity and credit risks. Directly and indirectly liaise with internal and external staff in relation to regulatory matters.

7. Key member of the MRLM team in measuring, monitoring and analyzing the organization's market risk exposure using P&L/Risk attribution, stress testing & scenario analysis. Oversee daily market risk limit and exception reporting while ensuring the appropriate levels of awareness and communication within the organization.

8. Utilize strong quantitative, financial and statistical experience to develop and maintain the framework (systems, models, processes, limits, policies and procedures) used for calculating and reporting daily risk levels (Value-at-Risk 'VaR', Greeks, stress tests, Potential Future Exposure 'PFE', Credit Valuation Adjustment 'CVA', etc.) using complex quantitative risk models.

9. Provide analytical support to the various Truist trading teams.

10. Work seamlessly with other teams across the MLRM department on inter-dependent issues such as counterparty and liquidity risk, valuation/hedging analyses and IPV. Also liaise with business and control partners including operations, collateral management, marketing/ sales, trading, quantitative research, model development, internal/external audit, legal and compliance.

11. Represent the MRLM control discipline across various senior level committees, working groups and strategic initiatives and/or projects.

12. Formulate strategies, policies and procedures while proactively overseeing consistent application, implementation, monitoring and reporting to senior management as well as partnering and/or leading ongoing compliance efforts with regulatory requirements including interaction with multiple banking supervisory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training.

2. 5-7 years in positions that carry increasing levels of responsibility in major financial institutions, financial services consulting, and/or regulatory agencies.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, applicable at all levels across the business. Ability to understand and communicate complex products, strategies and risk issues in succinct and easily understandable terminology.

4. Knowledge and experience of financial risk management, banking, capital markets and financial instruments.

5. Demonstrated understanding of quantitative models, complex applications, theories and concepts such as Value at Risk (VaR), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Expected Exposure (EE), Independent Price Verification (IPV) and risk-based P&L attribution.

6. Knowledge and work experience in valuation of derivatives including CVA (Credit valuation Adjustment) and FVA (Funding Valuation Adjustment).

7. Credit skills in corporate lending and with capital markets products. Experience with trading documentation such as MSFTAs, MRAs, MSLAs, ISDAs, CSAs and FCM agreements with previous credit authority.

8. International trade finance experience as well as a strong understanding or macroeconomics and geo-political risks.

9. Must possess knowledge of risk management and control processes, especially of the applicable risk compliance regime including designing, developing and implementing risk programs and policies.

10. Experience with interpreting regulations and developing oversight programs for capital markets related regulations (Market Risk Rule, FRTB, Volcker Rule, Swap Dealer Rule, etc.).

11. Self-starter, capable of operating with minimal direction; high degree of self-motivation with strong track record of execution and delivery.

12. Strong financial acumen, highly analytical and business enabler with ability to develop creative solutions to business challenges, the ability to think outside the box and see through the heart of issues, while executing with speed and excellence.

13. Possess ability to maintain a structured and flexible approach, tough yet balanced decision maker with sound judgement; must have ability to remain calm under pressure and ability to prioritize and delegate.

14. Strong ability to form and maintain key internal and external network and relationships.

15. In terms of supervision and decision making, while functioning within a highly integrated team, the position is also required to function in an autonomous capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in capital markets, market/liquidity/credit risk and held a leadership position at a $150+ billion financial institution.

2. Experience interacting with banking and industry regulators.

3. Advanced degree with specialization in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Business Administration or related fields.

4. 5-7 years of experience in financial risk management of trading and non-trading risks.

5. Formal credit, market risk and product control training.

6. Professional certifications (e.g. Financial Risk Manager or CFA).
