  • Status: Full Time
  • Hours: 12 hour shifts overnight

What You’ll Do:

Therapists provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, individual, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services for child and adult clients experiencing mental health symptoms, substance use disorder symptoms. Therapists will develop, document, and monitor treatment plans, monitor and document treatment services, interactions, and progress.  Ensure that documentation and maintenance of client chart meets agency, state, federal, etc. audit standards.  Collaborate with internal (i.e. medical, psychiatric, clinical, case management, peers, etc.) and external (i.e. referral agencies, family, friends, etc.) treatment team members and/or supports around a client’s treatment plan goals, treatment, and treatment progress. Coordinate with collaterals and/or partner agencies during a client’s treatment to ensure sustainable support and step-down services are in place.

Essential Duties:

  • Direct client care to include care coordination, behavioral health related screenings and assessments, individual and group therapy, brief therapy, case management, and related clinical services.
  • Serves as a clinical resource person to building site(s), clinical staff, case managers, medical providers and collaterals.
  • Knowledge of professional policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with other staff in providing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical services, including collaborating with Clinical Managers and Program Supervisors.
  • Performs behavioral health screenings and assessments.
  • Provides on going care coordination within SummitStone, community agencies and resources. 
  • Provides crisis intervention to include crisis assessment and de-escalation.
  • Provides onsite collaboration with medical providers to provide behavioral health assessments for those clients identified with behavioral health needs.  
  • Clinical documentation.
  • Supports and fosters team values within the treatment team to provide support and remove barriers.
  • Maintains superior customer service for internal and external customers by providing information and answering questions/requests in timely matter.
  • May participate on committees (both internal and external), in meetings, and works on projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Opportunities with:

  • Mobile Response - SummitStone’s mobile response team provides crisis intervention in the community 24/7/365. Therapists on this team are expected to be dispatched throughout Larimer County to support stabilization of community members wherever they may be calling from.
  • Behavioral Health Urgent Care - SummitStone’s clinical urgent care team provides crisis walk-in services supporting individuals in self-defined crisis and providing treatment recommendations 24/7. 

Required: 

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited College or University and registered with DORA as a Candidate working towards licensure. 
  • At least one year of experience in the behavioral health field.
  • At least one year of experience with mild to severe mental illness and substance use disorders. 


Preferred: 

  • Substance Use Disorder Licensure (CAS or LAC) preferred. 
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred. 


All positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Our Behavioral Health Therapists have access to exceptional training opportunities in evidence-based practices and support in gaining and keeping licensure and addictions certification: 

  • Receive supervision toward clinical licensure (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC) and/or certification (i.e. CAS) at no cost to the employee.
  • Receive reimbursement for obtaining clinical licensure (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and/or certification (i.e. CAS) in addition to base pay increase
  • Have the opportunity to participate in specialized clinical certifications (i.e. EMDR, etc.)


Total Rewards 

The hiring range:

  • Masters Level Unlicensed: $58,011 - $69,618 annually
  • Masters Level Licensed: $66,040 - $79,217 annually
  • Based on relevant years of experience.
