Manufacturing Supervisor

As aManufacturing Supervisorin our facility, this individual will provide leadership, guidance, and supervision of hourly production, quality assurance, maintenance, and distribution employees. This individual will work closely with members of management staff and corporate to ensure quality products are safe and efficiently produced within scheduled timeline. This person will also help with coordinating and keeping QMS functioning.

Hours:2pm-10pm , this role may require off shift hours, weekends, and holidays.

Competencies-Skills (Required):

  • Progressive leadership responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities.

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Capacity for consistently meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects.

  • Solid organization skills and detail orientation skills.

  • Excellent follow-through skills.

  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and data entry.

  • Technical/professional knowledge and skills.

  • Ability to build and manage a successful team.

  • Review paperwork for accuracy.

  • Proven ability to coach, decision making, facilitates change, managing conflict.

  • Possess strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, and decision-making skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude highly desirable.

  • Ability to initiate process change management.

  • Facilitate EQMS assessments for employees.

Experience-Education:

  • HS/GED required

  • 1+ years of increasing responsibility in a food-manufacturing environment, including supervisory accountability

  • HACCP Training a plus

  • Bachelors Degree highly preferred

Competencies-Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience identifying, recommending, and finding solutions utilizing Lean Practices, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma practices.

  • Experience with GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, process improvement, plant safety programs, and quality assurance.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; climb up and down stairs and ladders; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The temperature of the work environment can fluctuate due to occasional temperatures from cold/cool to warm/hot. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require ear plugs. While working in the manufacturing areas, the incumbent is required to wear personal protective equipment.

Salary Range: $69,040 - $103,560
