Full Job Description
The VP, Product Research & Development will be responsible for spearheading where to play and how to win by exploring new market trends for future product development leading a team of researchers and analysts to identify emerging technologies, analyze market dynamics, and working with product development teams for translating insights into actionable product strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Segmentation – define where to play and how to win to inform the product development plans from concept to launch.
  • Conduct Market Research - analyze the competitive landscape, identify market opportunities, and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Plan and Conduct User Research Studies - design and execute various research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and A/B testing.
  • Analyze and Synthesizing Research Data - analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key insights and trends.
  • Communicating Research Findings - present research findings in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Travel as business needs arise.

  • Must have strong computer skills (TEAMS, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Work Experience:

  • 7-10 years in executive management.
  • Experience in product, R&D, analytics and/or strategy, is required.
  • Proven leader with high energy, confidence, and demonstrated ability to influence others with preference for experience in higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to both create and adapt to change through forward thinking.
  • Deep understanding of significant aspects of technologies, business models, and regulations relevant for the industry.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, organizational effectiveness, or a similar field.

Other:

  • Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided.
  • Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
  • If offsite or hybrid role, must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
  • Faculty and Federal Work Study roles require access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including computer, privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
  • Must be able to meet critical thinking and problem solving aspects aligned to job duties, as well as effectively communicating with co-workers.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant. Accommodations related to schedule may be considered.
  • Able to access information using a computer.
  • Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification.

$165,000.00 - $300,000.00 - Salary
