Within Moody's Ratings, the US Corporate Finance Group (CFG) is responsible for the fundamental credit analysis that underpins our ratings for both public and private non-financial US corporates across a wide range of industries. CFG is hiring a Vice President, Senior Analyst who will manage a portfolio of investment and speculative-grade companies within an industry team. This is a high-profile opportunity for someone who is passionate about credit analysis and engaging with C-suite executives and the broader marketplace. |
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure ratings accuracy for your portfolio through rigorous and timely credit analysis. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant sectors and issuers. Articulate robust credit views and make recommendations to rating committees.
- Build rapport with management teams and the broader marketplace, communicating critical credit views that enhance Moody's Ratings' relevance, expand our brand and reputation as a trusted source of credit insight.
- Publish topical, thought-leading, forward-looking, and transparent research reports.
- Collaborate at all levels internally; coach junior associates and develop their credit skills.
- Cultivate relationships with the highest level of professional integrity, transparency, and fairness.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of substantial credit and financial analysis experience. Strong analytical ability and technical skills in accounting, financial statement and cash flow-based analysis, capital structures and debt documentation.
- Intellectual curiosity, honesty, thoroughness, sound judgment and ability to work independently and in a team. Ensure a free exchange of perspectives in an inclusive and open-minded manner.
- Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing.
- Outstanding people skills. Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels (including C-suite) and represent the Moody's brand credibly and effectively.
- Diligence, sense of ownership and ability to meet tight deadlines with high quality outcomes.
- Adaptable, with a change mindset and willing to learn new technologies and tools.
- Committed to continually learn and grow, authentic and passionate about caring for and inspiring others, engaging with multi-cultural awareness.
- Bachelor's degree required and master's degree preferred.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$186,900 - [[$271,050, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
