Roles and Responsibilities:
• The Systems Administrator will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
• Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
This requisition is open as a dual level opportunity. We will consider candidates at a level 2 or level 3:
Basic Qualifications:
• Level 2: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 2 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience, or a STEM PhD and 0 years of related experience
• Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 5 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or a STEM PhD and 1 year of related experience
• Active Interim Clearance required to start. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
• Current DoD 8140 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or ability to obtain one within 6 months
• Demonstrated experience with Linux and/or Windows server & workstation administration
• Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities; Experience hardening Linux and/or Windows systems in accordance with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
• Demonstrated experience developing and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Computing environment certification (Linux preferred)
• Demonstrated experience leveraging Ansible for administrative and automation tasks
• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, etc.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing SAN and/or NAS storage devices
• Demonstrated experience managing production networks with minimum downtime
• Demonstrated experience leveraging Identity Management and/or Active Directory services
• Demonstrated experience adhering to security policies as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
• Demonstrated experience implementing & maintaining Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
• Demonstrated experience with host-based firewall implementations and configuration
• Demonstrated experience implementing & managing backup and recovery services
• Demonstrated experience implementing & managing virus and endpoint protection services
Salary Range: $70,200 - $105,400
Salary Range 2: $86,600 - $130,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
