Project Introduction
The Network Based Encryption Key Recovery Storage System (NBEKRSS) is a vital component of the PKI infrastructure within the VA, currently the VA utilizes Zeva DecryptNaBox. It integrates with various systems, such as Office 365, Self-Recovery, and Third-Party Recovery, to manage and decrypt encrypted messages. The VA also maintains eight Luna T-5000 HSMs across its data centers in the United States, ensuring secure key management with Portable Electronic Device (PED) remote capability.
This is a part-time position working 10 hours per week.
Professional Level
As an Engineer 1 your duties may include testing project components, identifying problems and discovering solutions, working on ongoing projects based on specifications or drawings, and collaborating with teams of other engineers. Typically performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer 1 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the incident ticketing system and work tickets assigned.
- Communicate effectively with the government officials. By doing so, the team member represents Insignia Technology and all team members located in VA.
- Work with the team providing support services in all aspects related to the contract including deploying code releases, configuring, testing, operationally sustaining (e.g., diagnosing, repairing, and patching), and decommissioning virtual servers hosted at Hines (NBEKRSS) for the application groups.
- Develop, maintain, and knowledge share with the entire team documentation about current environment, SOPs, and best practices in the form of Sharepoint, SOP, or internal Teams sites.
- Perform daily review of application XPOlogger, Google Analytics, etc. and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
- Communicate with the team throughout the day with regards to urgency, ticket escalation or user support. The team will work together to provide support to one another throughout the day.
- Responsible for projects that are dictated by the government. The projects and urgency of such projects will be communicated from the government to the team as appropriate. The team will execute the project to the best of their ability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Experience with Windows Systems Administration
- Experience with ServiceNow incident management system
- Experience with VA Processes
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a T4, BI clearance
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US

Salary Range$30.20—$37.97 USD
