We have an opening for a Staff Accountant with a tax emphasis. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities:

As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a vital role in our Firm’s financial operations as part of the dynamic Enterprise Accounting team. What you will do:
- Assist with tax related filings on monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Including, but not limited to, gross receipts tax, sales tax, and VAT tax
- Coordination and payment for corporate tax filings prepared by outside tax firm
- Maintain and reconcile any appropriate accruals needed related to tax liability
- Be a resource for internal and external stakeholders as questions arise related to taxes
- Apply understanding and guidance related to the role of resale certificates in business transactions
- Maintain accounts with Dun & Bradstreet to ensure accurate account recording for various DLR Holding Company entities
- Maintain Fixed Asset database with monthly acquisitions and disposals
- Record depreciation monthly from fixed asset software to Deltek Vantagepoint
- Annual personal property tax return filings
- Monthly and annual reconciliation of fixed asset accounts
- Apply understanding of accounting principles related to capitalization and expense guidelines
- Participate as part of a team for daily deposit management for assigned accounts
- Record and research deposits by Project Accountants
- Assist the Accounting Manager and Controller with general ledger input and schedules as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a role filing gross receipts and sales tax returns for multiple states. A willingness to learn new tax structures and the international landscape.
- 5 -10 years of relevant accounting experience (AEC industry preferred)
- Ability to work cross-functionally within various operating systems.
