Legend Biotech is seeking a Scientist Solid Tumor CAR as part of the Research & Early Development team based in Philadelphia, PA.
Role Overview
This position will join a new interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of Legend's engineered cell therapy platform for treating solid tumor.
Qualified candidates should have hands on experience working with CAR-T and/or other engineered immune cell types for solid tumor cell therapy discovery.
The ideal candidate should be driven, analytical, thoughtful and creative, who can function both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This position will initially report to Senior Director of Research. Location: Philadelphia.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute CAR-T cell functional assays.
- Design strategies to address target-expression heterogeneity for novel CAR design.
- Develop in vitro assays to assess CAR-T cell bystander killing and antigen-spreading.
- Analyze and interpret data, troubleshooting, present to and engage internal stakeholders
- Stay abreast of the latest advancement of cell therapy in solid tumor. Develop relevant insight in selected disease area.
Requirements

Scientist- PhD in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology or related field + 0-3 years of post-phD experience.

Proficiency in conventional immunological techniques such as primary T cell isolation, gene editing/transduction, expansion, ELISA, cell sorting and flow cytometry is required.

Broad knowledge in T cell antigen presentation, Dendritic cell, Macrophage, monocyte biology and their implications in TME ( eg. Liver, lung and colorectal cancer) is preferred.

Experience in CAR-T animal models, especially with utilizing in vivo CAR modalities such as engineered lentivirus or LNP/mRNA is a plus.

Experience in T cell tetramer analysis and clonal-expansion is a plus.

Experience working with Bispecific T cell engager is a plus.

Innovation in cell therapy space is preferred as evidenced by publications and patents.
