Sales Development Representative: Multifamily & Commercial Sustainability

$40,000-$50,000 based on experience - Raleigh, NC (or remote location within NC)

We are seeking a full-time inside sales team member to support our Multifamily & Commercial Energy Services team. This team provides third-party verification services (i.e. LEED, Energy Star, NGBS, Fitwel, etc.) on multifamily & commercial buildings across the country. The inside sales lead position serves as the first stop on our clients' journeys and is a critical position at SEM. This is a diversified role with room for future growth potential, and contains tasks related to sales, data organization, and customer relationship management, with some travel required. This team member must be knowledgeable about sustainability (green building preferred) and be strong at relationship building with new and existing clients.
What You'll Do In This Job:
Host meetings with potential & future clients (developers, architects, etc.) to communicate the value proposition of our Multifamily and Commercial Energy Services Team
Write email campaigns (sequences) for prospects
Research, evaluate, and build upon our prospect list
Assist with yearly Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) campaigns & conferences
Update Salesforce & Hubspot to stay current on leads and follow-ups; ensure accurate data entry & management of CRM platforms
Approximately 10% travel to events & conferences, set up & staff booths as needed (within NC, SC & VA at minimum)
Ad hoc sales coordination & support such as proposal writing, note taking, sending follow-ups for the outside sales team
Must Haves:
Passion for Building Science and Sustainability
Great customer relationship & sales skills
Ability to manage multiple CRM & task management platforms at once
Passion for data entry & keeping CRM data clean (Google Sheets, Salesforce, Hubspot)
Attention to detail & strong organizational skills
