Role Overview:
The RFP Team Manager will serve as the team manager for a team of RFP Specialists that are supporting Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Security, and Ad hoc Questionnaires supporting all lines of business for potential and inforce clients and brokers.This role requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and strong collaboration with sales leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal teams to deliver impactful, brand-aligned proposals. This position leads the cross-functional efforts to strategically respond to RFPs/RFIs and manages and improves the proposal process.
What You'll Do:
Full ownership of capacity planning, productivity metrics, case work assignment, and training for team members as well as building a 3-to-5-year strategic road map.
Apply Experience and best practices in the RFP team
Collaborate with internal partners to develop compelling content learning into upcoming enhancements of our business to create compelling content
Analyze Questionnaires to help set strategy within our business and own our Qvidian experience and strategy
Provide direction to the RFP Specialist and increase performance and progress towards reaching business goals and clearly communicate roles and expectations.
Review the specialist RFPs/RFIs and Executive Summaries to identify potential obstacles to success or areas of concern and provide feedback while enabling the team to provide potential solutions.
Oversee the RFP process to ensure adherence, timeliness, and quality, while continually assessing the RFP process for effectiveness and quality.
Schedule and/or attend meetings on a regular cadence with leadership to discuss strategy, goals, process improvement, and pipeline.
Manage large, complex RFPs/RFIs based on team capacity; assist Proposal Analyst's with their assigned RFPs/RFIs as needed.
Serve as the liaison to Distribution Operations leadership; participate in strategy/kick-off calls as needed.

What you'll bring:
A bachelor's degree is recommended.
7+ years of ancillary and voluntary products experience.
Previous leadership and cross matrix relationship building experience and strategic thinking
Subject matter expertise in group employee benefits and Voluntary products is required, including life, accidental death & dismemberment, disability, leave, ADA, accident, critical illness and hospital care insurance policies.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to develop detailed documentation, and business requirements to support new processes and systems
Ability to work independently and collaboratively - establishing and driving initiatives with matrix partners across the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with strict adherence to timelines and dynamic priorities.
Experience using critical thinking and problem solving to navigate complex processes and ambiguity.
Brings strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
Advanced experience with Qvidian and Salesforce
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent Distribution Operations effectively.
Occasional travel will be required. Remote, work from home opportunity.

Pay Transparency
Salary range:$95,000-$120,000
Overtime eligible:Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
