Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Project Analyst to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The candidate needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter who can quickly come up to speed and work collaboratively with staff, peers, leadership, and customers to successfully deliver major programs. This role requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail. The project analyst will be supporting the Project Lead/PM for each program and/but will report to the Program Integration Manager. The candidate will be able to support each programs' lead/PM by effectively communicating timely information, reports, and insights on the health of the project to all stakeholders and facilitating project execution. The candidate will also provide data analysis by examining financial data along with data related to project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Analysts need to be able to make assessments on dependencies associated with deliverables or timelines so that we can minimize delays/risks or maximize on early deliveries

Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key responsibilities of the Project Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze project data from various sources like timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
- Generate reports and visualizations to present insights to project managers and stakeholders.
- Project Planning and Monitoring:
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying potential deviations and risks.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on project status.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential project risks.
- Assist in developing mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Facilitate project meetings and document action items.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Communicate project status updates to stakeholders effectively.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze project management processes and identify areas for optimization.
- Recommend improvements to project management methodologies and tools.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Develop and update project knowledge databases.
- Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, or other related technical field
- 4+ years of experience as a Project analyst supporting projects of varying size and scope
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, knowledgeable with project management methodologies and frameworks such as waterfall and agile
- Strong ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in using tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Jira, and Microsoft Project to present data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
- Understanding of project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and critical path analysis.
- PMP, CAPM certification
- Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge/Experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons System
