We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Critical Handling Solutions (CHS) business segment. This business unit specializes in designing and building a variety of high performance, high reliability custom crane and lifting equipment. We serve several diverse industries including aerospace, nuclear test laboratories, commercial nuclear plants, and various other industries that have a need for the most advanced lifting systems that are possible. Success Criteria:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build out and refine the manufacturing engineering function, establishing best practices and driving long-term improvements. Your focus will be on planning, organizing, and optimizing the assembly of large, complex crane and material handling . You will work closely with design engineering, procurement, project management and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration, efficient processes, and the highest quality standards. Your role will be crucial in managing the assembly workflow, ensuring the on-time delivery of projects, and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. Your ability to lead a cross-functional team and utilize your knowledge of large machinery assembly methods, tooling, production equipment capabilities, fabrication methods, materials, and quality control standards will be crucial to your success.

* Develop and implement assembly plans for large, complex crane and material handling systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to understand system requirements and translate them into detailed assembly processes.
* Create and optimize detailed work instructions, assembly workflows, and tooling requirements for crane systems and material handling equipment.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to align material requirements and supplier compliance with quality and regulatory standards to ensure material availability to projects.
* Troubleshoot assembly issues, recommend process improvements, and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
* Perform risk assessments and/or failure analyses (PFMEA) to identify potential issues during the assembly process and propose preventative measures.
* Monitor and ensure adherence to requirements, regulations and standards in all manufacturing and assembly activities.
* Support the development of disassembly, crating, transportation and customer site installation plans.
* Provide feedback to design engineering during the design process and lessons learned meetings to aid in manufacturability of designs
* Support evaluation of PAR’s fabrication suppliers with regards to capability and quality control systems

We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $100,000–$130,000 annually

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. PE license preferred.
* 10+ years of relevant work such as:


* Working in a quality driven manufacturing environment with processes related to large machinery assembly, welded fabrications, machining, and paint; familiarity with ASME NQA-1 preferred.
* Strong understanding of large-scale assembly processes and techniques, particularly for complex mechanical systems.
* Reading engineering drawings in relation to fabrication and assembly with a high level of expertise and ability to communicate with manufacturing personnel and suppliers.
* Proven ability to plan, manage, and optimize assembly workflows and processes for complex systems.
* Familiarity with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks) and ERP Systems.
* Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
* Willingness to travel to supplier sites to support evaluation of supplier capability and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
* Typically expect travel not to exceed 10%, but up to 25% travel may be required periodically.
* Proficient with office computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, etc.)
