We are searching for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join the CARFAX team. This role will be responsible for assisting with our enterprise risk management and compliance programs. At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 4 days per week in our Centreville, VA headquarters, subject to change with future business needs. What you’ll be doing:
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Partner with business leaders to identify, analyze and document risks
- Collaborate with business teams to develop and track risk mitigation plans
- Continuously monitor enterprise risk factors and risk mitigation processes to recommend needed changes
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and maintain policies and procedures
- Implement policies and educate employees to ensure compliance
- Regularly review and evaluate adherence to policies
- Continuously monitor evolving best practices in compliance controls
- Design and manage control systems to ensure that controls are operating effectively
- Internal and External Audits:
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to risk and compliance
- Address audit findings and recommend corrective actions
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on the status of enterprise risk and compliance programs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to risk and compliance activities
- Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, finance, law or a similar business or technical discipline
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ERM, CIA, CPA or CFE) is a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in risk management and compliance
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skill, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills and meticulous attention to detail
