WHAT IS THE TAXPAYER SERVICES DIVISION?

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
TAXPAYER SERVICES CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE, RELATIONSHIP AND EDUCATION

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

  • Loads and unloads trucks, carts, other conveyances or pallets loaded with forms, supplies and other products. Moves, packs, unpacks, sorts, segregates, arranges, stacks, piles or relocates a large variety of packages and other items. Cartons loaded, unloaded, or moved weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Moves and assembles furniture and equipment manually, using dollies or using manual or electric pallet lifters. Performs minor maintenance and repairs on office furniture and equipment using common hand and power tools.
  • Follows appropriate procedures when moving stock to maintain accountability of Government-provided published products. Receives stock movement orders through paper orders, automated and radio frequency devices. Identifies the location of required items using computer locator system or RF equipment. Pulls stock using appropriate equipment and delivers it to specified locations. Appropriately completes inventory tracking information. Returns full cartons of undeliverable products to stock; restocks other items as directed.
  • Follows appropriate procedures for receipt, inspection, acceptance, handling, storage, fulfillment, shipping and disposal of security, serially numbered, and Official Use Only published products.
  • Takes inventories of quantities of specific forms by counting boxes or pallets as requested. Verifies physical inventory accuracy against inventory records and reconciles differences in Inventory and Distribution System.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. (Birth certificate showing birth in the U.S; Unexpired U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization; or Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen (Form FS-240))

  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:

WG-02: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. To be qualifying your experience should demonstrate the following: stock movement methods and loading and unloading methods to move materials safely and prevent damage during transport. The set up and operation of equipment operated including procedures for routine adjustments, minor repairs, and cleaning of equipment operated. Knowledge of simple arithmetic and counting to select accurate order quantities and basic English to read orders and write labels.

Physical Requirement: Able to stand for prolonged periods of time and able to bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Lifting often may be from floor level to eye level.

Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates. If qualified, you will be assigned to one of two quality level categories, CAT A/B, CAT C depending on your responses to the online questions, regarding your experience, education, and training related to this position. Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application.

Referral: If you are among the top qualified candidates, your application may be referred to a selecting official for consideration. Candidates, if required to participate in a selection interview (telephonic and/or in person at the discretion of the Selecting Official in accordance with hiring practices), will be interviewed in quality group order.
