We are looking for a Human Resources Management Consultant to become part of our talented team. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, our Human Resources Consultants provide consulting services throughout the Washington, DC metro area to a variety of commercial, government contracting, and non-profit clients. As a member of NFP's Helios HR team, your pay is biweekly and you would be eligible for health, vision, prescription, dental, life and disability insurance, 401K, flexible spending accounts, prepaid legal services, paid holidays, and flexible work schedules.

Our Human Resource Management Consultants:

  • Partner with organizational leadership to align human resources strategy with business objectives and provides support in the integration of operational components
  • Serve as trusted advisors, building deep relationships across all levels of the organization from employees to leadership
  • Design and implement HR programs, practices, processes, and policies which are consistent with industry best practices and align with organizational goals
  • Create and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in all operational and tactical areas of HR including, but not limited to, employment law, FLSA classifications, leave management, HR technology, benefits management, and compensation

Qualification:

  • A bachelor’s degree required
  • An active level HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is required
  • At least 7years progressive HR Generalist experience required
  • Previous HR consulting experience a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
  • Experience in government contracting
  • Previous experience developing and implementing strategic HR programs
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following areas organizational development, leadership development, mergers and acquisitions, coaching, workforce planning, succession planning, development of mission, vision and values, employer branding and culture and behaviors
  • The ability to take on the tactical as well as strategic components of the HR function
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional presentation skills
  • The ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including C-Suite and VP levels, with confidence and poise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
