Our team values innovation and collaboration, and we’re seeking a skilled Graphic Designer with a passion for all things visual to join our team

Role Overview:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing the visual elements to support the Siren Marine and Yamaha Connected business. We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media.

This includes all design elements related to websites, social media, advertisements, event displays, business materials, product box and logo designs.

An understanding of the marine industry and / or Internet of Things, practices and challenges is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity (Siren Marine and Yamaha Marine)
  • Develop concepts and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
  • Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system
  • Create design briefs and determine creative requirements to support the business and marketing requirements
  • Work closely with marketing team and product team for visual requirements
  • Maintain consistency of brand between all design elements
  • Create visuals to support regular social media posts
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements; and execute all design elements

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • Familiarity with HTML and web programming a bonus
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
  • Marine Industry Experience: An understanding of marine systems, operations, and challenges. Experience managing projects involving marine-specific technologies such as monitoring systems, navigation systems or marine sensors.
