What You'll Do
As aCloud DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, automation, and cost efficiency. You will leverage expertise incloud architecture, automation, security, and operationsto build resilient, cost-effective, and secure environments.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designingscalable, resilient cloud architecturestailored to operational needs.
- Managingcloud infrastructure operations, includingcost optimization (FinOps), monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery automation.
- ImplementingInfrastructure as Code (IaC)withTerraform, Helm, and CSP variantsfor reliable, automated deployments.
- Containerizing workloadsusingKubernetes (K8s), Docker, and cloud-native tools, optimizing orchestration and Helm configurations.
- Configuringfirewalls, VPNs, VPCs, and HA network architectures, resolving connectivity issues across multi-provider environments.
- Implementingcloud security policies(IAM, RBAC, ABAC) and maintaining compliance standards.
- Supportingmulti-cloudenvironments with expertise in core services across multiple CSPs.
- Applying cloud, network, and systems engineering experience withinUS Federal government (civilian or defense) environments.
- Collaborating with technical and business teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
YOU'RE GOOD AT:
- Cloud architecture- designing cost-efficient, secure solutions.
- IaC- automating deployments with Terraform, Helm, and cloud-native tools.
- Container orchestration- managing Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm-based workloads.
- Network engineering- securing and optimizing connectivity across hybrid cloud environments.
- Cloud security- enforcing IAM, RBAC, and ABAC policies.
- Multi-cloud operations- leveraging multiple CSPs effectively.
- Federal cloud compliance- navigating security standards incivilian and defense sectors.
- Cross-team collaboration- communicating technical concepts across engineering, security, and business units.
What You'll Bring
Must-Have:
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret level or above security clearance. Candidates with an active security clearance are highly preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Strongcloud architectureandinfrastructure operationsexpertise.
- Experience inFinOps, monitoring, and automated disaster recovery.
- Proficiency inIaC (Terraform, Helm, CSP-native tools).
- Hands-on experience withKubernetes, Docker, and container management.
- Deepnetwork engineeringknowledge for secure, scalable cloud connectivity.
- Experience withIAM, RBAC, ABAC, and cloud security best practices.
- Multi-cloud expertise acrossmultiple CSPs.
- Background inUS Federal government cloud/network/systems engineering.

- DevSecOps experiencein agile service/software delivery.

Additional info
Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
We expect total annualized compensation for Washington D.C. employees to be approximately the following:
- Base salary between $144,000.00 - $176,666.67 ; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-20%
- 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period
- First year annualized target total compensation: $166,320.00 - $204,050.00
