The City of Chesapeake Public Utilities - Water Services team is seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to join our crew as an Equipment Operator I. What You'll Do:
- Install new water services, including tapping water mains and boring under roadways
- Repair, upgrade, and abandon existing water service lines
- Replace and upgrade water meter boxes
- Locate underground utilities
- Restore work sites, including soil, asphalt, and concrete surfaces
- Perform general construction, maintenance, and manual labor assignments
