Volt is immediately hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Tech for an industry leader in Aerospace and Defense in Irvine Ca

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician you will:

Perform cable assembly with crimping and soldering.
Assemble PCBs with through-hole and SMT components.
Assemble electro-mechanical systems, including cables, PCBs, electrical enclosures, and custom racks, involving cable routing and point-to-point wiring.
Read and interpret drawings, wiring lists, schematics, and bills of materials.
Use small hand tools to modify plastic and metal parts.
Operate metal fabricating equipment like drill presses, brakes, and cutoff saws.
Redline electrical and mechanical drawings and coordinate with the appropriate person to implement changes.

This is a Full Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or senior level, self-starter with over or minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
IPC Certifications
- IPC-A-610
- IPC/WHMA-A-620
- J-STD-001
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.00

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
