Job Summary
Responsible for leading or supporting the environment, health and safety (EHS) business function for a Division, Region, HQ, or COE. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the environmental, industrial health and safety regulations. Handles coordination of all environmental, safety compliance programs and conducts environmental safety inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and prevailing professional practices. Ensures that actions are taken to correct deficiencies or violations of standards, investigates employee complaints and suggestions regarding hazardous conditions, maintains site health and safety records, manages support contracts and interfaces with federal, state and local regulatory officials. Provides leadership and direction for multiple functional areas. Manages professionals at manager, supervisor and professional levels. Ensures appropriate resources to achieve financial and business objectives. Influences, shapes, and integrates strategy for functional area(s).Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Program and Policy Development
Manages the development, implementation, and administration of EHS Programs at a Division, Region, HQ, or COE.
Develops and manages Division, Region, HQ, or COE EHS budget.
Program Implementation
Leads high-profile national, regional or divisional cross-functional EHS projects that span multiple years and have impacts on EHS and the organization overall.
Leads development of annual EHS goals and metrics, incorporating Corporate, Division and specific Region goals and metrics.
Manages annual program to ensure compliance objectives are met including facility assessments, training and corrective action follow up.
Oversees accuracy and reporting of all required EHS data.
Collaboration and Internal Reporting
Works closely with or under the direction of EHS leadership on developing/implementing EHS programs that drive consistency and improvement. This includes active participation or leading a variety of EHS planning teams, participation and/or leadership of specific assigned projects and active engagement with regional, divisional and HQ peers.
Coordinates with other business functions (Tech Ops, HR, Learning and Development, IT, Communications etc.) and key partners (Corporate Health Services, Legal, Risk, HR, Operations, Sales, Care) in communicating EHS risks and plans/programs to address those risks. Communicates regularly with other business functions.
Provides input for budgeting (EHS equipment, ergonomic equipment, EHS related systems improvements etc.)
Regularly reports on status of goals and metrics to leadership.
Personnel Management
Manages EHS professionals' development and succession planning as appropriate. Conducts performance reviews of direct report(s) providing coaching when appropriate and reviews performance reviews conducted by EHS managers in their organization.
Supports the development of a diverse workforce within the EHS organization.
Role will require oversight and working with outside consultants on projects.
Subject Matter Expertise
Provides expertise in one or more EHS or management subject areas.
Assessments and Investigations
Coordinates with field EHS managers and specialists along with other business functions to ensure significant EHS incidents are investigated to determine root cause and for development of corrective and preventative actions to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence. Will lead/oversee investigation and coordinate communications on incidents considered SIF incidents and incidents requiring reporting to regulatory authorities and have expectation of a regulatory agency investigation.

Schedule and Travel
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Role requires occasional travel (Divisional and/or Corporate meetings, travel to/within Regions and some travel to outside training/conferences)

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $137,930.50 - $206,895.75

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
