Honeywell's Environment and Infrastructure team is looking for a Cryogenic Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in our Broomfield, CO, Golden Valley, MN or Albuquerque, NM locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design cryogen piping distribution and storage vessels for large systems that consider all the pertinent factors (e.g., Thermal, Vacuum/Pressure, etc.)
  • Inform approaches for planning, executing, and validating analyses to enable design maturation & realization
  • Integrate mechanical designs with electrical, cryogenic, vacuum, and magnetic systems
  • Collaborate with scientists & engineers in a cross functional team environment by documenting & communicating results across a broad array of disciplines, including program management

The annual base salary for this position is $102,000. -$127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • 5 years' experience designing, analyzing, & maturing cryogenic systems
  • US citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience designing systems utilizing ASME Section VIII
  • Experience in the following methods & tools:
    • CAD modeling & drawing creation with tools such as Solidworks or equivalent software
    • Pressure vessel design with tools such as PV Elite or equivalent software
    • Pipe stress analysis utilizing Caesar II or equivalent software
  • Experience with:
    • Large scale fabrication & installation of large-scale projects
    • Liquid Helium systems
