As an Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software applications and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for writing software to test Honeywell's next-generation Resilient Embedded GPS/Inertial Navigation System (EGI). Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced navigation technologies used in mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.
You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Software Technical Manager and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact by developing innovative software solutions that enhance the performance and functionality of our products. As a mid-level individual contributor, you will collaborate with peers to drive best practices in software engineering and ensure the successful implementation of software projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications and solutions
* Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and comprehend complex customer requirements
* Develop scalable and efficient software solutions that meet customer needs
* Develop and maintain test software for our next-generation Resilient Embedded GPS/Inertial Navigation System (EGI)
* Test, debug, and optimize software applications for high performance and reliability
* Document software designs, specifications, and user manuals
* Collaborate with peers and contribute to best practices in software development

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
* 6+ years of experience in software development using programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or Python
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience in designing and implementing software solutions for complex systems
WE VALUE
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field
* Experience writing test control software
* Knowledge of product testing, debugging techniques, and performance optimization
* Prior aerospace experience
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies
* Familiarity with software development tools, environments, and best practices
* Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
